The lightweight MR devices enable unlimited controlling affordances on generic everyday objects, allowing users to control their homes without the hassle of finding dedicated controllers.
Thanks to the tracking nature of MR devices, the system can unlock more intuitive automation by tracking and learning from users' daily habits and postures, further reducing the steps of reaching the home settings that fit the users’ needs.
Even with the existence of light weighted MR devices, the mobile phone will still not be easily replaced in the future. In our system, the user will have the ability to set up the automation through portable devices from a third-person view, or setup through postures from a first-person view.
Our system allows you to invite friends into your room as avatars, creating an immersive multiuser environment. Synchronize media content and ambient settings with your friends, and enjoy movies together as if you're in the same space. This feature bridges physical distances, bringing people together in a uniquely interactive way.
